My deepest sympathies to Macy, Landon's parents, brother and grandparents, and all his "brothers in blue" for the loss of your beloved Landon. Thank you for encouraging Landon to be the person he was meant to be. Who knows how many lives he saved by making the ultimate sacrifice that night? My son is also a state trooper and I know the fear of something like this happening is always on the minds of people who love these dedicated men and women. Landon was a true hero . . . his gentle and caring spirit will live on forever. Best wishes for comfort to all of you.

As an older sister of a 25-year-old RI state trooper who just graduated this past summer as well, this news struck home. I can't imagine how you must all be feeling. This is in the back of all of police family's minds. We all know the risk our loved ones take in a career like this, and that it starts day 1, but to actually happen so soon is heartwrenching. I am so very sorry for your loss. I am so sorry that he couldn't live out his life like he should have, but to do what he did in 23 years is so admirable. That academy is grueling, and he made it. He accomplished more than some people accomplish in a lifetime. I hope that leaves you with some comfort during this very sad time. I thank him for offering his life to protect others. God bless you and your family, and God bless our good men and women in law enforcement.
With heartfelt wishes,
Nicole

Near a shady wall a rose once grew,
Budded and blossomed in God's free light,
Watered and fed by the morning dew,
Shedding it's sweetness day and night.
As it grew and blossomed fair and tall,
Slowly rising to loftier height,
It came to a crevice in the wall
Through which there shone a beam of light.
Onward it crept with added strength
With never a thought of fear or pride,
It followed the light through the crevice's length
And unfolded itself on the other side.
The light, the dew, the broadening view
Were found the same as they were before,
And it lost itself in beauties new,
Breathing it's fragrance more and more.
Shall claim of death cause us to grieve
And make our courage faint and fall?
Nay! Let us faith and hope receive--
The rose still grows beyond the wall,
Scattering fragrance far and wide
Just as it did in days of yore,
Just as it did on the other side,
Just as it will forever-more.

May you rest in peace knowing that you did what you were trained for. My husband and I didn't know you but we are originally from the central PA area and moved to Nevada where my husband became a Nevada Highway Patrolman. He served 33 years. So I know full well the dangers of the job. We pray that your family. especially your wife, will comfort each other and that after the grief that is so raw right now subsides, you will lift them up with wonderful memories.3

PENNSYLVANIA STATE POLICE CALL OF HONOR
I am a Pennsylvania State Trooper, a soldier of the law.
To me is entrusted the honor of the force.
I must serve honestly, faithfully, and if need be, lay down my life as others have done before me, rather than swerve from the path of duty.
It is my duty to obey the law and to enforce it without any consideration of class, color, creed or condition.
It is also my duty to be of service to anyone who may be in danger or distress, and at all times so conduct myself that the honor of the force may be upheld.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Trooper Weaver recited the "Call of Honor" many times throughout his Academy training and at graduation when he was promoted from Cadet to Trooper. The five sentences do not represent a slogan or morale boosting rhetoric; they are a pledge by an individual to serve and, if need be, lay down their life, to protect others.
Unfortunately, Landon Weaver has paid the ultimate sacrifice.
But, in his life, he embodied the honor and bravery that make him a hero. Someone willing to serve the public and place himself in danger so that others may be safe.
I hope the Weaver family and the personnel of the Pennsylvania State Police find peace in knowing that Landon Weaver did not swerve from the path of duty and encompassed each attribute that made him a Trooper.

A Fallen Police Officer by Heidi Daiello
Today when I heard the news
My heart broke in two,
For nobody knew just what to do.
An Angel of God sent him here
To protect and to serve,
Everyone near and dear.
Now his life on Earth is done
We will miss him True,
But, his life in Heaven has just
Begun.
May God bless him and all
Officers and their family's from now
Until the end of time!

There are not enough words to express the gratitude we owe this man and his fellow troopers, and there are not enough "sorry's" in the world to make this any less painful for those of you who knew and loved him. Just know, that the majority of us are very appreciative of the risks that are taken by all of the service people every day to keep us safe and we will continue to pray for all of you !!!

There are no words to describe the feeling of loss of someone so young and so brave. Although I did not know Landon personally I can tell from all of the posts on social media sites and here on this page that he was an extraordinary young man with so much life and love to give. Thank you Trooper Weaver for your bravery and selflessness. May your light live on through your wife, family, and friends. May they find comfort in the arms of our Lord and Savior during this rough time.

Words will never be enough, to express the gratitude that we hold for you and Landon. He made the ultimate sacrifice to serve and protect, as did you his family. Our hearts are heavy for you Macy, and all the family. Our prayer is that God will lay his hand on you and wrap you in his loving kindness. May you find comfort in his peace that passes all understanding.
