Licensed Supervisor, Funeral Director
Mr. Helsel is the current owner, supervisor, and licensed funeral director at the John K. Bolger Funeral Home, Inc. He is a 1992 graduate of Hollidaysburg Area High School. Following graduation, Bill attended Lock Haven University for 3 years before attending Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science where he graduated in 1996 with an associate degree in Mortuary Science and a certification in Funeral Business Administration. Bill is the supervisor of our Williamsburg funeral home.
He is a member of the Blair County Chamber of Commerce, the Keystone Funeral Directors Association, the Pennsylvania Funeral Directors Association and the National Funeral Directors Association. Bill is active in the community and is a proud supporter of numerous youth activities and groups throughout the Cove. He attends the Grace Fellowship - Leamersville Campus.
Bill is married to Jennifer (Lynn) Helsel and together they have three sons, Will, Tyler and Zach, and a daughter, Kaitlyn. Although raised in the Hollidaysburg area, Bill has enjoyed getting to know and serve the Martinsburg and Williamsburg communities.

Mr. Dodson is the son of Alan Sr. and Mary Dodson of Altoona and has one sister, Katlyn and brother-in-law, Andrew of Ebensburg. He is married to Miranda (Miller) Dodson who is employed as a Medical Assistant at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center. They have two daughters, Hattie Ann and Norrie Jo, and the family currently resides in Roaring Spring. He enjoys spending time in the outdoors, especially hunting white tail deer with his father, black powder shooting, camping, playing disc golf and going to classic car shows and cruise ins.
As an Eagle Scout, Alan serves as Treasurer and Charter Organization Representative on the committee of BSA Troop 49 of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #11288, Penn State Alumni Association, Blair County Chamber of Commerce Young Professionals, Blair County Historical Society, Pennsylvania and Blair County Farm Bureau and the Keystone Funeral Directors Association.
He also enjoys going to the Mishler Theater where he and his wife have season tickets to all Altoona Community Theater productions. Alan is a graduate of Altoona Area High School and Penn State University, and went on to the Pittsburgh of Institute of Mortuary Science, where he graduated in 2009 with a degree in funeral directing and embalming. He has been serving the area as a licensed funeral director since 2010.
Alan is proud to call Blair County home and is looking forwarding to serving the families of the Cove and its surrounding communities.

Mr. Bolger is the former owner and current licensed funeral director at the John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg location. John is a 1971 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg; and a 1974 graduate of the Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science. Following his graduation in 1974, John joined his father in the family funeral business. When his father retired in 1988, John took full control of the company until the fall of 2014, when he passed the reins to his long-time associate, William J. Helsel.
John is married to the former Connie J. Clowson, with whom he has 2 grown daughters, Cori and Kelly. John is an active member of the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church.
Susan is our secretary and a member of the funeral home staff, serving since fall 2014. She is a graduate of Central High School and the Altoona School of Commerce, where she received associate degrees in Accounting and Business Management. Susan is married to Tom Greenleaf. They live in Martinsburg with their two daughters: Ashley, and Hannah. The Greenleafs are members of the Martinsburg Memorial Church of the Brethren.
