William Thomas “Tom” Forshey

William Thomas “Tom” Forshey, 82, of Martinsburg, passed away Monday afternoon, July 18, 2022 at the Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg.
He was born in Catharine Township, rural Williamsburg, son of the late Robert Martin and Alma Georgiana (Waite) Forshey.
Surviving are two sons: Thomas W. “Tommy” Forshey (Christina) of Altoona and Charles Robert “Rob” Forshey of Manchester; three grandchildren: Nick Rusich, Robert Hughes and Matthew Forshey; four great-grandchildren: Meckenzie Hughes, Conner Hughes, Evianna Forshey and Everson Forshey; and a sister, Suzanne Collins (Bill) of Hollidaysburg.
He was preceded in death by two brothers: George Robert Forshey and Toner Richard Forshey; and a sister, Lillian June Banks.
Tom was a 1958 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He began his working career for Ritchey’s Dairy, Martinsburg and was later employed at Westvaco in Williamsburg. In 2002, Tom retired from the Shipping Department at Appleton Papers Inc., Roaring Spring, after 33 years of service.
He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Martinsburg and a former member of the Shady Trail Riding Club, Woodbury. Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing and horseback riding.
A private inurnment will be held at Shellytown Fairview Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
