Susan “Suzy” D. Snyder

Susan “Suzy” D. Snyder, 74, of Martinsburg, passed away early Monday morning, August 14, 2023 at Homewood at Martinsburg, following an extensive and courageous battle with cancer.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late, Donald S. and Betty J. (Gates) Horton. On March 3, 1973 she married Theodore Max Snyder at Martinsburg Church of God.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Max of 50 years; four children: Corinne D. Blackmun (Josh) of Honey Brook, Crystal S. Ribandi of Shawnee, KS, Braden A. Snyder (Misty) of Madison, NJ and Nick P. Snyder (Sharal) of Birdsboro; nine grandchildren: Devon Blackmun, Branwyn Parmeter (Colin), Trevor Ribandi, Lillie Snyder, Shiloh Snyder, Logan Snyder, Oliver Snyder, Clayton Snyder and Jedidiah Snyder; eight siblings: Glenda J. Watt (Robert), Martha J. Lang, Timothy D. Horton (Cynthia), Theodore D. Horton, Joseph A. Horton (Kim), Laura M. Horton, Jonathan E. Horton and Daniel G. Horton (Cheryl); and many nieces and nephews.
Suzy was a 1967 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg. She was primarily a homemaker, who also worked in the Dietary Office at Nason Hospital in Roaring Spring.
She was a person of strong faith that loved spending time with her family, traveling and reading. Suzy also enjoyed singing with her sisters and listening to music, especially The Bee Gees.
Friends will be received from 10am until noon, Saturday, August 19, 2023 at Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, where a funeral service will begin at noon, Pastor Dale See officiating. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
