Phillip David Wombacher

Phillip David Wombacher, 71, of rural Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Alfred H. and Gladys (Merritts) Wombacher. Dave was formerly married to the late Linda S. Geist.
Surviving are two sons: D. Scott Wombacher (Danielle) and Joseph L. Lansberry (Beth) both of Williamsburg; three grandchildren: Kara Lansberry, Darien Wombacher and Cody Bookhammer; his girlfriend, LouAnn Wagner; two sisters: Rebecca Wombacher of Johnstown and Sally Wombacher of Cresson; two brothers: Timothy of Altoona and Samuel of Hollidaysburg; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Hann; and a brother Barry Wombacher.
Dave was a U.S. Army veteran serving during the Vietnam War from 1969 until 1971 attaining the rank of specialist 4th class. He retired as an automobile mechanic from Bart’s Auto Center, Altoona and had previously worked as a mechanic for Tel-Power Inc., Hollidaysburg and at Stuckey-Emes Ford, Hollidaysburg.
He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting.
Friends will be received from 1- 2:30pm, Saturday, February 6, 2021 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service with military honors will follow at 2:30pm, Pastor Tim Guyer officiating. Private interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
