     Norma Jean Hritz, 84, resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Bethel Park, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 9, 2020 at UPMC Altoona, following a brief illness.

     She was born in Pittsburgh, daughter of the late Raymond Kelly and Marie (Tutthill) Kelly-Quast.  On November 2, 1955 she married Robert P. Hritz in Pittsburgh.

     Surviving are her beloved husband of 64 years; three daughters: Nancy J. (Jim) Valley of Ligonier, Carol Ann (George) Modos of Nashville, TN and Linda L. (David) Cubbison of Bedford; and three grandchildren: Abigail R. Cubbison, Noah D. Cubbison and Benjamin R. Modos.

     Norma Jean was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Marie Hritz; three brothers; and a sister.

     She was a 1954 graduate of Bellefield Girls Vocational High School, Pittsburgh.  Norma Jean was a longtime member of First Bethel United Methodist Church, where she served as the church secretary for 20 years. She also attended the Bedford United Methodist Church and was a member of the former Bethel Park Century Club.

    Norma Jean was also a very gifted seamstress, who mended and created many beautiful garments for many family and friends.  She loved spending time with her family, traveling, sewing and her pet dogs.

     A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Friday, June 12, 2020 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg. 

     Memorial contributions in memory of Norma Jean can be given to Bedford County Humane Society, 182 Bohn Rd., Bedford, PA 15522.
