Michael D. Kensinger

Michael D. Kensinger, 57, rural Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday evening, December 1, 2018 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late Donald B. and Wanda J. (Miller) Kensinger. On October 3, 1987 he married Lou Ann Greenleaf at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 31 years; two children, Melissa Dawn Kensinger and Ryan Michael Kensinger both at home; two sisters: Debra McGraw (Randall) of Martinsburg and Diane Curfman (Craig) of Roaring Spring; two brothers-in-law: Michael Greenleaf and Terry Greenleaf (Karen); and many nieces and nephews.
Mike was a 1978 graduate of Central High School and received a certificate in carpentry from the Greater Altoona Career & Technology Center. While growing up in the cove he attended Clover Creek Church of the Brethren and was currently attending Memorial Church of the Brethren.
He was a 4th generation cement finisher, who worked for over 30 years for Ralph J. Albarano & Sons Inc., Duncansville. Mike was a lifetime member of the NRA, loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, gardening, working and was always willing to lend someone a helping hand.
Friends will be received from 2-4pm and 6-8pm, Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg and from 10 until the 11am funeral service, Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at the church, Pastor Chris Garretson officiating. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in memory of Mike can be given to Martinsburg Vol. Fire Company, 205 S. Market St., Martinsburg, PA 16662.
