Lucinda “Cindy” K. Michelone

     Lucinda “Cindy” K. Michelone, 77, of rural Williamsburg, passed away Saturday morning, September 19, 2020 at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg, following a brief illness.

     She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Melvin H. and Elda E. (Eastep) Hughes.  In 1969 she married Joseph B. Michelone in Williamsburg and he preceded her in death on August 13, 1980.

     Surviving are two sisters: Jane E. Clabaugh (Nelson) of Hollidaysburg and Shirley M. Salyards of Williamsburg; and several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by a son, Richard A. Showalter; two sisters: Joyce A. Pearson and Donna G. Hughes; and a brother, Charles H. Hughes.

     Cindy was a 1961 graduate of Williamsburg High School, completed the CNA program at the Huntingdon Vocational School and was also a graduate of the Altoona Beauty School.

     She worked locally as a hairdresser for a short time and for many years was employed as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at both, Huntingdon Manor and Homewood at Martinsburg.  Cindy attended the Williamsburg CMA Church and also loved dogs and flower gardening.

     The family would like to extend a special thanks to the wonderful nurses and activity workers at The Village at Morrisons Cove.  Also, her hospice nurses, Dawn, Lynne and Betty, and Cindy’s caregiver for a short time, Judy Fitzingo.

     At the request of the deceased there will be no services and a private burial will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
