     Linda D. Heverly, 62, of Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday morning, August 24, 2019 at her home.

     She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Donald W. Ayers and Lois A. (Reneker) Ayers-Dick.  On February 13, 1981 she married Richard E. Heverly in Altoona. 

     Surviving are her beloved husband of 38 years; two sons: Justin A. (Kylei) Heverly of Claysburg and Jared R. Heverly at home; a granddaughter, Aslinn Rose Heverly; three brothers: Steven Ayers of Altoona, Jeffrey Ayers of Curryville and Gary W. “Doc” Ayers of Martinsburg; and a sister, Beverly A. Phillips of Roaring Spring.

     She was preceded in death by a brother, Larry D. “Beak” Ayers.

     Linda was a 1975 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg and was raised in the Mt. Pleasant United Church of Christ, rural Martinsburg.

     She was primarily a homemaker who also worked as a secretary for Penn Air at the Blair County Airport and for the summer recreation program at the Morrisons Cove Memorial Park, Martinsburg.

     Linda loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed her pet cats and making all kinds of crafts.

     A memorial service will be held at 11am, Saturday, September 7, 2019 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, Reverend Kim Swindell officiating.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Linda can be given to Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
