He was born in rural Roaring Spring, son of the late Raymond M. and Carrie (Kagarise) Keith.  On September 3, 1955, he married Margaret “Peggy” Biddle in Roaring Spring.

Surviving are his beloved wife of 65 years; three sons: Roger (Karen) of Elverson, David (Lori) of Portage, and Richard (Barb McKrush) of Duncansville; a daughter, Pamela Smith (Lee) of Martinsburg; two foster daughters: Leslie Lato and Sharon Pfahler, both of Altoona; 14 grandchildren, and 24 great-grandchildren.  Over the years, Kenneth, along with his wife Peggy, was a foster parent for over 70 children.

He was preceded in death by four brothers: infant Donald, Fred, George and Elmer; and two sisters: Gladys Bollman and Fae Butler.  Ken was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Ken attended Morrisons Cove High School and retired from Roaring Spring Paper Products in 1997, following 41 years of service.

He was a long-time active member of Altoona Bible Church, where he served as deacon, trustee, Sunday school teacher, youth group leader, Brigade/Stockade leader and treasurer, and Grace Kids’ camp counselor.

He loved spending time with his family, camping, playing Pinochle, and wintering as a snowbird in central Florida where he was a “handyman” in the mobile home park since 1997.
