Karen Ann Greenwood

April 7, 1957 ~ July 29, 2022

     Karen Ann Greenwood, 65, of Martinsburg, went home to be with her Lord unexpectedly Friday evening, July 29, 2022 at her residence. 

     She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Samuel H. and Isabel M. (Baughman) Conrad. 

     Surviving are a brother, Ronald E. Conrad (Joyce) of Altoona; two nieces: Jodie Eckenrode of Mechanicsburg and Jamie Conrad of Altoona; and two great-nephews: Dylan and Chase; and many friends, that loved her dearly.

     Karen was a 1975 graduate of Altoona Area High School and received an Associate Degree in Accounting from the Altoona School of Commerce.

     She was currently employed as the Business and Tax Coordinator for the Spring Cove School District, and during her 41 years of service, Karen worked in various other clerical positions for the district.

    Karen was a faithful member of the Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, where she taught the Wednesday evening Buddy Group.  She loved civil war history and spending time with her bible study and prayer group friends. Karen also enjoyed playing piano, quilting and spoiling her pet cats.

     A celebration of life service will be held at 11am, Friday, August 5, 2022 at Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, Pastor Brian L. McCall officiating.  Private interment will be held at Baughman Cemetery, Tyrone.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
