John L. Klepser

John Lloyd Klepser, 58, of rural Imler, Bedford County, passed peacefully Monday morning, August 24, 2020 at his home.
He was born in Altoona, son of Anna E. (Chamberlain) Klepser and the late John E. “Jack” Klepser.
Surviving are his mother of Martinsburg; long-time friend and companion of 28 years, Donna I. Litzenberger; three daughters: Lydia R. Litzenberger (Nick Ritchey) of Roaring Spring, Karla D. Younker of Imler, and Jennifer D. “Munch” Klepser (Jud Bussard) of Imler; four grandchildren: Abbigale Ritchey, Austin Ritchey, Ella Bussard, and Colton Bussard; and a sister, Mary Ann Satterfield (David) of Rolla, MO.
John was a 1979 graduate of Central High School and was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Martinsburg.
He worked for many local Cove dairy farms, drove school bus for Chestnut Ridge and Claysburg school districts and also drove truck for various local companies.
John was a member of the Shady Trail Riding Club, Bedford County Draft Animal Club, and an auxiliary member in both the D. Merl Tipton VFW Post 43, Martinsburg, and the American Legion Murray-Appleman Post 147.
He loved spending time with his family, horseback riding, and his dog, Xena. John also enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, boating and riding motorcycles.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm, Friday, August 28, 2020, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
