Jerome Allen “Breezy” Reed

Jerome Allen “Breezy” Reed, 78, of Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly Saturday afternoon in Williamsburg.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Jerome S. and Virginia M. (Perrin) Reed. On May 1, 1970 he married Elizabeth P. “B.J.” Packer in State College. She preceded him in death on April 21, 2009.
Surviving are four daughters: Donna A. Price (Bob Houp) of East Freedom, Carole J. Price of Altoona, Virginia J. Reed (Gary Williams) of Saxton and Amy L. Reed (Ken Davis) of Altoona; a son, W. Leroy Price of Centre County; 12 grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grand-daughter, Marrisa Price.
Breezy was a 1962 graduate of Williamsburg High School where he played basketball and football. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1964 until 1967, attaining the rank of Sergeant.
He retired as a welder in 1999 from Conrail, Sam Rae Shop with 25 years of service and previously worked as a lineman for H.D. Blattenberger Power Line Construction. Breezy was a member of Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg, American Legion Post 0520, Alexandria, Duncanville VFW Post 8724 and Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 223, Huntingdon.
Breezy loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He also enjoyed socializing with friends, hunting and fishing.
Friends will be received from 5-7pm, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a military honor service will be held at 7pm by the Blair County Veterans Honor Guard.
Memorial contributions in memory of Breezy may be given to United Way of Blair County, 208 Hollidaysburg Plaza, Duncansville, PA 16635.
