James W. Lower

James W. Lower, 86, Williamsburg, passed away Thursday morning, July 30, 2020, at his home.
He was born in Royer, son of the late James F. and Levada K. (Kifer) Lower. On August 3, 1964, he married Donna L. O’Neil at the Williamsburg Church of God.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 56 years; two sons: James E. of Williamsburg, and Dwayne A. (Kimberly) of Hollidaysburg; two grandchildren: Jessica T. Lower and Joshua J. Lower; two sisters: Grace L. Thomas and Deborah A. Campbell; and four brothers: Eldin D., Gerald W., Ronald W. and John G. Lower.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Joyce A. Michelone.
Jim was a US Army veteran serving from 1956-1959, where he attained the rank of corporal and also earned his GED. He was employed as a foundry mold/core maker for the McLanahan Corporation with 35 years of service.
He loved spending time with his family and his pet dogs, Jim also enjoyed gardening, fixing things/tinkering and woodworking
Friends will be received from 11 am until noon, Tuesday, August 4, 2020, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will follow at noon, Mr. David Cadle officiating. Private interment will be held at New Canoe Creek Cemetery, rural Hollidaysburg.
Memorial contributions in memory of Jim can be given to the Central PA Humane Society, 1837 E. Pleasant Valley Blvd., Altoona, PA 16602.
