H. Emile Dilling

H. Emile Dilling, 84, rural Williamsburg, passed away Monday morning, March 16, 2020 at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center, Johnstown.
He was born in rural Williamsburg, son of the late Howard D. and S. Mildred (Baker) Dilling. On November 24, 1956, he married Betty L. Stonerook at the Woodbury Church of God. She passed away on March 8, 2020, following 63 years of marriage.
Surviving are three daughters: Elaine L. (Leon) Dell of Martinsburg, Susan D. (James) Geenen of Shawano, WI, and Carol J. (John) McCoy of Inez, KY; five grandchildren: Sarah M. (Philip) Martin, Julie E. (Dustin) Burket, Travis J. and Wade W. Geenen, and Olivia J. (Bradley) Lafferty; four great-grandchildren: Allie E. and Ryan M. Burket, Wyatt C. Martin and Easton B. Lafferty; a sister, Margaret D. “Peggy” (Jerry) Campbell of Martinsburg; and close family friend, David Miller of Ardmore, TN.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert L. Dilling.
Emile was a 1953 graduate of Williamsburg High School. He was a longtime member of Fairview Church of the Brethren, rural Williamsburg, where he served in various capacities.
He and his wife, Betty owned and operated a dairy farm along Clover Creek in rural Williamsburg for many years. Emile also volunteered and served on various committees and was a member of many local farming organizations.
Emile enjoyed hunting, fishing and going to farm related auctions.
Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Friday, March 20, 2020 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg. A private funeral service and interment will be held at the convenience of the family.
