George John Camaroto Jr.

George John Camaroto Jr., 72, Williamsburg, passed away Sunday morning, June 5, 2022, at UPMC Altoona. He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late George John and Frances Patricia (Lockawich) Camaroto.
Surviving are his loving fiancée, Dorothy Reigh; four daughters: Tammy Sue Lehman (Mike), Aimee Sue Harstrom (Victor), Sybil Kaye McDowell (Jared), and Tori Jorge Combs (Gary); a brother: Francis Camaroto (Susan), three sisters: Georgeann Mayhue, Dona Gorsuch (John), Joyce Camaroto Bertres; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, including, Zane Camaroto, Kirk Leonard Gage Leonard, and Harlee Leonard, who he helped raise.
George was a graduate of Williamsburg High School and served as a Medical Corpsman in the US Army where he attained the rank of private. He previously worked for Conrail and later retired as a foreman in 2012 from the Williamsburg PennDOT Shed. George was also the owner and operator of the Williamsburg OIP restaurant for many years.
He was a member of St. Josephs Catholic Church, Williamsburg and also attended Zion Lutheran Church. George was a life member of the Bonner- Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg.
In his free time, George enjoyed hunting, fishing, laughing, dancing, and listening to music but his greatest love was spending time his family and friends. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of George’s life is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
