      Frank Logan Moore, 89, Martinsburg, passed away Wednesday evening at Homewood at Martinsburg.

     He was born in Altoona, son of the late Frank A. and Emma (Nickol) Moore.  He married Virginia L. Cooper on August 22, 1951 in Juniata Gap, Altoona.

     Surviving are his beloved wife of 64 years of Martinsburg; 3 sons: Kevin R. (Sara) of Mars, Derin L. (Karole) of Roaring Spring, and Bruce A. (Lisa) of Carlisle; 5 grandchildren: Laurin, Hannah, Megan, Julia, and Ross Moore.

     He was preceded in death by a brother, George; and a sister, Jane Neason.

     Frank was a 1944 graduate of Altoona High School, he then served in the U.S. Army with the Occupation Army in Germany.  Following his military service he received his Bachelor of Science and Master’s Degree from Penn State University. During his time at Penn State he played for the men’s basketball team, and Frank became an avid Penn State athletic fan.

     He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church, Woodbury.

    Frank retired in 1989 from the Spring Cove School District, where he taught and coached for over 38 years.

     At the request of the deceased there will be no public services.  A private graveside service with military honors will be held at Alto-Reste Park Cemetery, Altoona, Pastor Mick Dawes officiating.
