January 6, 1955 November 26, 2021
Dotty Jean Williams, 66, of Martinsburg took her last breath on earth and her first breath of heavens air, Friday afternoon, November 26, 2021 at UPMC Altoona, due to COVID-19.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Harry Blake and Anna Ruth (Burke) Wogan. She was twice married, first to Fred Mike McCready Sr., of Hollidaysburg, who is still her best friend and father of her four children and then to Robert F. “Reb” Williams, who preceded her in death on December 14, 2017.
Surviving are a son, Mark G. McCready of Hollidaysburg; two daughters: Samantha J. McCready and Stephanie J. (Scott) Harclerode both of Martinsburg; 12 grandchildren; two sisters: Carol Sickle of Altoona and Beverly Snyder of Ocean City, MD; and many nieces and nephews that she dearly loved.
She was preceded in death by a son, Freddy Patrick Michael McCready Jr.; a sister, Deanna “Dee” Wogan; and a brother, Robert Wogan.
Dotty was a 1972 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and later received a registered nursing degree from Mount Aloysius College, Cresson. She attended Journey Church in Hollidaysburg.
She was a compassionate registered nurse, who took great pride in being an advocate for every patient she came to care for. Dotty would often refer to this quote by, Dolly Parton “Don’t get so busy making a living that you forget to make a life”.
Dotty loved her family, swimming, flower gardening, cooking and baking. She also enjoyed her pets, riding motorcycles and listening to music, her favorite song was, I Hope You Dance, by Lee Ann Womack. Dotty wanted everyone to live by the words to that song.
A memorial service is being planned for a later date. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
In lieu of flowers, Dotty would want you to pay it forward with kindness (Ephesians 4:32).
