Dorothy Fay "Dot" Fisher

December 1, 1924     February 9, 2021

     Dorothy Fay “Dot” Fisher, 96, a resident of NHC Healthcare Lexington, West Columbia, SC, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday morning, February 9, 2021 at the facility.

     She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Russell C. and Margaret A. (Stonebraker) Parks.  On July 15, 1955 she married Lewis E. Fisher in Winchester, VA.  He preceded her in death on September 12, 1974.

     Surviving are a daughter, Pamela L. Speicher (Wayne) of Lexington, SC; two grandchildren: Wayne Speicher Jr. (Stephanie) of Lexington, SC and Rusty Speicher (Jennifer) of Roaring Spring; six great-grandchildren: Kayla Swope (Michael), Jeff Speicher (Sadie) both of Martinsburg, Gabe Morgan of Roaring Spring, and Sierra, Stevee and Wyatt Speicher of Lexington, SC; and four great-great-grandchildren: Alahna Swope and Adrian, Jordyn and Xavier Speicher all of Martinsburg.

     She was preceded in death by three siblings: Ruth Landis and Kenneth Parks both of Williamsburg and Paul Parks of Ten Mile, TN.

     Dorothy was a longtime member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, rural Williamsburg.  For many years, Dorothy assisted her husband, Lewis with the daily operation of their dairy farm, along Clover Creek and also worked at the paper mill and Riverside Grocery Store, both in Williamsburg.

     She loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, reading her bible and the Morrisons Cove Herald.

     Friends will be received from noon until 1pm, Monday, February 15, 2021 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg where a funeral service will follow at 1pm, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Private interment will follow at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Dot may be given to St. John’s Lutheran Church, 217 Plum St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
