Doris A. “Sis” Strayer

Doris A. “Sis” Strayer, 72, of Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly Monday afternoon, December 7, 2020 at her residence.
She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late William F. Sr. and Louella May (Enyeart) Brantner. Doris was twice married, first to Larry Thomas Feathers and then to Leroy J. Strayer, who both preceded her in death.
Surviving are a son, Larry Thomas Feathers Jr. (Christina Reighard) of Williamsburg; four grandchildren: Noah T. Feathers, Joshua G. Feathers, Nathan M. Charles and Nichole R. Charles; two great-grandchildren: Anjelix Crawford and Alexandria Charles; two brothers: Richard A. Brantner Sr. (Ronda) of Martinsburg and William F. Brantner Jr. (Jen) of Williamsburg.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Tonya Kay Charles, who passed away on October 28, 2000; and an infant brother, Harry S. Brantner.
Sis attended school in Williamsburg and was lifetime member of Grace Pointe Community Church, the former Williamsburg Church of God. She worked as a caregiver for the elderly at both nursing facilities and at families' homes.
She loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed sewing and drawing.
Friends will be received from 11:30am until 1pm, Thursday, December 10, 2020 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 1pm, Rev. James D. Spivey officiating. Private interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
