Donald Eugene Stubbs

Donald Eugene Stubbs, 54, of Williamsburg, passed away, Sunday morning, April 19, 2020 at his home, following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of Naomi D. (Stubbs) Bookhammer. On January 1, 1993 he married Kimberly A. Miller in rural Williamsburg.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 27 years; his mother of Altoona; Gerald Bookhammer of Williamsburg, who helped raise, Don; three sons: Draven L., Damian E. and Damon P. all at home; and a sister, Virginia “Jenny” Bookhammer of Altoona.
Don was a 1984 graduate of Williamsburg High School and was raised in the Williamsburg Apostolic Church. As a young man he worked for many years on Glen Over’s farm in rural Williamsburg and during his lifetime was employed at various companies, including: Homestead Care Services, Hollidaysburg, Cove Shoe Factory, Martinsburg and Seton Company, Saxton.
He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, riding four wheelers, working on cars and searching for morel mushrooms.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, a private graveside service will be held at Salem Church Cemetery, rural Martinsburg, with Pastor Joseph D. Weber officiating. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
Memorial contributions in memory of Don can be given to the funeral home to help with expenses.
