David Lee Smith

      August 27, 1962     November 22, 2019

David Lee Smith, 57, of rural Williamsburg, passed away Friday morning, November 22, 2019 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born in Havre De Grace, MD, son of Juanita Rose (McCreary) Smith and the late John Horace Smith.

Surviving are his mother of rural Williamsburg; two children: Cady A. Smith and Keegan McCreary Smith both in Oklahoma; two sisters: Terry Lynn Wagner of Hanover and Melanie Rose (Smith) Rutledge of rural Williamsburg; a niece, Helen LGR Wagner; and a nephew, James U. Wagner.

He was preceded in death by a brother, John Clinton Smith.

David was employed as a computer web designer/analyst for Music Emporium in Altoona.  He was an astonishingly brilliant and thought-filled man. His profound appreciation for all genres of music marked his life and brightened all who entered his. Although David was highly articulate and enjoyed lengthy discussions and lively debates, his focus was always to listen and give of himself to family and friends; unfailingly kind, unforgettable, and forever beloved.

A remembrance walk and potluck picnic is being planned for this coming spring in Williamsburg. Memorial contributions in memory of David can be given to the American Cancer Society, 1004 N Juniata St, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.  Arrangements are by John K.
