David J. Crouch

                         November 15, 1946    February 11, 2020

     David J. Crouch, 73, Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday morning, February 11, 2020 at Van Zandt Medical Center, Altoona.

     He was born in Warren, OH, son of the late John Robert and Anna Marie (Elser) Crouch.  On November 18, 1967 he married Ruth Diana Brantner at the Williamsburg Church of God.

     Surviving are his beloved wife of 52 years; a daughter, Kimberly D. (Jay) Liberman; three sons: John Robert (Brenda) Crouch and James Michael Crouch all of Williamsburg and David Elwood (Jennifer) Crouch of Wilmington, NC; five grandchildren: Victoria Liberman, Anna Shanholtz, Lindsey, Ian and Noah Crouch; three great-grandchildren: Willow Clark, Hudson and Adelaide Shanholtz; two sisters: Shawn (Merle) Phillips of Cortland, OH and Jackie (David) Pulte in Arizona; and numerous nieces and nephews.

     He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jonathan David Elwood Crouch; a brother, Larry Crouch; and a half-sister, Barbara Crouch.

     Dave was a 1965 graduate of Maplewood High School, Cortland, OH and later completed an online program, receiving a paralegal degree.  He was a U.S. Navy Vietnam veteran serving aboard the USS Boxer during the conflict, from 1965 until 1967.

    For many years he was employed as an over the road truck driver and also held various jobs throughout his lifetime; ultimately retiring as a private investigator and office manager for a law firm in Hollidaysburg.

     He was a member of Martinsburg Sportsman’s Club and for 30 years was very active in martial arts, earning a second degree black belt.

     Dave loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed hunting, fishing, reading and watching western movies.

     A memorial service will be held at 1pm, Monday, February 17, 2020 at Grace Pointe Community Church, Williamsburg, Rowdy Kagarise officiating.  Following the service, family and friends are invited for a time of fellowship to be held at the church.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
