Dana Howard Zimmerman, 71, of Somerset, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Sunday morning, May 3, 2020 at his residence.
He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Howard H. and Betty K. (Black) Zimmerman. On June 26, 2002 he married Deborah E. (Omasta) Antinoro in Richland.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 17 years; two sons: Scott Zimmerman of Sevierville, TN, Brian Zimmerman (wife, Sara) of Waxhaw, NC; two daughters: Tracy (Antinoro) Conte (husband, Vincenzo) of Pittsburgh and Stephanie (Antinoro) Stanley (husband, Wayne) of North Huntingdon; six grandchildren: Claire and Natalie Zimmerman, Luca and Ilaria Conte, and Addison and Carsyn Stanley; three brothers: Don of Williamsburg, Rick of Indiana and Kevin of Reedsville.
Dan was a 1967 graduate of Williamsburg High School and also received an associate degree in specialized power plant technology from Williamson Trade College, Media. He worked as a supervisor for Penelec (Conemaugh Station) with over 30 years of service.
He was a member of Roof Garden Christian Church, Somerset. Dan also was a member of Lock Mountain Rod and Gun Club, rural Williamsburg, Somerset Sportsman’s Club, Johnstown RC Club and was a longtime Free and Accepted Mason.
Dan loved camping with his wife and friends, taking scenic Harley rides (with his brother, Kevin and son, Scott) and building model railroad displays. He also enjoyed woodworking, reading, painting, photography, flying RC model airplanes that he built and was a Civil War buff.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, all services will be private, Pastor Roy Worsham will officiate and the interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
