Christian “Chris” Paul Saylor
November 7, 1952 – November 9, 2021
Christian “Chris” Paul Saylor, 69, Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday evening, November 9, 2021 at his home.
He was born in Williamsburg, Catharine Twp., son of the late Clair F. “Chip” and Ethel Mae (Roub) Saylor.
Surviving are a daughter, Melinda A. Saylor of Duncansville; a grandson, Reese G. Carmona; three brothers: Clair Robert “Bob” (Rhonda) Saylor and Bruce A. (Zena) Saylor both of Williamsburg and Brian S. (Elizabeth) Saylor of Altoona; and many nieces, nephews, two great-nephews and two great-nieces.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, son-in-law, Mandrake Carmona Jr., and a nephew, Joseph A. “Joe” Saylor.
Chris was a 1970 graduate of Williamsburg High School, where he participated in the Blue Pirate Marching Band. He was U.S. Air Force veteran and also a member of the former Yellow Springs Lutheran Church.
He retired in 2008 from Cove Forge Behavioral Health Center, Williamsburg, where he worked in many positions including: maintenance, technician and security.
Chris was a very brilliant and handy man, who was self-taught in many trades, and could fix or make just about anything. He loved spending time with his family especially his grandson, Reese.
Friends will be received from 12:30 to 1:30pm, Saturday, November 13, 2021 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm, Pastor Betty J. Royer officiating. Interment with full military honors to follow at Yellow Springs Lutheran Cemetery, Williamsburg.
