Charles Lloyd Musselman Sr., 91, of Martinsburg, passed away Thursday evening, June 16, 2022 at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.
He was born in Claysburg, son of the late William J. and Sarah (Harr) Musselman. On July 23, 1953 he married Phyllis J. Hampton in Duncansville.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 68 years; a son, Charles L. Musselman Jr. (June) of Roaring Spring; a daughter, Joanne L. Hartman (Rick) of Martinsburg; a son-in-law, Frederick B. Bennett Jr. of Altoona; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Kathy Ann Bennett; a brother, Kenneth Musselman; and seven sisters: Ruth Dively, Helen Musselman, Florence Musselman, Dorothy Musselman, and three infant sisters.
Charles attended school in Claysburg. He was a member of the Foot of Ten Independent Baptist Church, Duncansville and Martinsburg Sportsmen’s Association Inc. He retired as a tack puller in 1993 from the Cove Shoe Factory, Martinsburg with over 30 years of service. Charles had previously been employed at the Brickyard in Claysburg.
He loved spending time with his family and also playing and managing for his slow pitch softball team. Charles also enjoyed hunting, fishing, bowling and going to the races at Jennerstown and Bedford.
Friends will be received from 11:30am until 1pm, Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 1pm, Pastor Brady Plummer officiating. Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
