      Carol Jean Weyandt, 82, of Roaring Spring, passed away Sunday morning, February 13, 2022 at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.

     She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late V. Ross and M. Drucilla (Shriver) Nicodemus.  On June 30, 1962 she married Robert E. Weyandt at Mt. Pleasant United Church of Christ, Martinsburg.

     Surviving are her beloved husband of 59 years; a daughter, Carla J. Brumbaugh (Barry) of Martinsburg; a son, Stephen E. Weyandt (Kimberly) of Altoona; four grandchildren: Wesley Weyandt, Stephen Weyandt, Dr. Aaron  Brumbaugh (Katlyn) and Brian Brumbaugh; two great-grandchildren: Kayden Weyandt and Sophie Brumbaugh; a sister, Joanne Nicodemus of Hollidaysburg; and a brother, Vernon Nicodemus (Karen) of Martinsburg.

     Carol was a 1957 graduate of Morrisons Cove High School, Martinsburg and also received a secretarial certificate from Robert Morris School of Business, Pittsburgh.  She was employed as a licensed real estate and insurance agent for Ken Stover Insurance and Real Estate, Roaring Spring with over 25 years of service. 

     Carol was longtime, faithful member of Mt. Pleasant United Church of Christ, Martinsburg, where she served as an elder of the consistory and treasurer for the cemetery board.

     She loved spending time with her family and friends.  Carol also enjoyed reading, walking, traveling and gardening.

     At Carol’s request a private graveside service will be held Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg, Pastor Kenneth Downs officiating.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Carol may be given to the American Cancer Society, 1375 Martin Street, Suite 206, State College, PA 16803.
