Betty L. Dilling, 83, rural Williamsburg, passed away Sunday morning, March 8, 2020 at UPMC Altoona.
Her birth name was Elizabeth Louise Stonerook. She was born in Woodbury, daughter of the late W. Homer and Margaret E. (Ake) Stonerook. On November 24, 1956 she married H. Emile Dilling at Woodbury Church of God.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 63 years; three daughters: Susan D. (James) Geenen of Shawano, WI, Elaine L. (Leon) Dell of Martinsburg and Carol J. (John) McCoy of Inez, KY; five grandchildren: Sarah M. (Philip) Martin, Julie E. (Dustin) Burket, Travis J. and Wade W. Geenen and Olivia J. (Bradley) Lafferty; four great-grandchildren: Allie E. and Ryan M. Burket, Wyatt C. Martin and Easton B. Lafferty; three sisters: Grace Hall of Martinsburg, Anna Harclerode of Bedford and Carol Jean Bowers of Roaring Spring; and close family friend, David Miller of Ardmore, TN.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Lois Mussleman.
Betty was a 1954 graduate of Woodbury High School. She was a member of the Fairview Church of the Brethren, rural Williamsburg and Gleaners Sunday School Class.
She was primarily a homemaker who also assisted her husband, Emile with the daily operation of their dairy farm along Clover Creek. Betty loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed baking, cooking and gardening.
Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Tuesday, March, 10, 2020 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg and from 10 until the 11am funeral service, Wednesday, March 11, 2020 at Fairview Church of the Brethren, rural Williamsburg, Pastor Thomas Hanks and Pastor Stanley Horst officiating. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
