     Barbara Gene Lewis, 79, of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday afternoon, September 21, 2021 at The Village at Morrisons Cove with her children at her side.

     She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late Michael J. and Helen (Fultonovich) Mastalski.

     Surviving are a son, Michael J. Lewis (Erin) of Roaring Spring; a daughter, Amy Jo Oakes (Duane) of Martinsburg; five grandchildren: Brayley Lewis, Ryley Lewis, Skye Oakes, Jaida Oakes and Kaeman Oakes; a brother, Michael J. Mastalski Jr.; three sisters: Shirley Mastalski, Margaret Mastalski and Denise (Mastalski) Lutcko (Jim); and nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by her parents of Coupon; two sisters: Theresa (Mastalski) Shade and Patricia (Mastalski) Lantz; and a brother, John Mastalski.

     Gene loved spending time with and taking care of her family and friends.  She also enjoyed painting, gardening, baking pies, reading her bible and listening to music, especially Elvis.

     A private funeral mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, Roaring Spring to honor Gene’s life.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
