            Andrew L. Burget, 54, of Martinsburg, formerly of Roaring Spring, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday morning, August 22, 2023 at Homewood at Martinsburg.

            He was born in Roaring Spring, son of the late John A. and Pearl I. (Kauffman) Burget.

            Surviving are three siblings: Jerry E. Sullivan (Beverly) of Williamsburg, Karen E. Reed of Martinsburg, and Vincent E. Burget (Raychal) of Seguin, TX; five nieces: Amy Seidel, Amanda Carpenter, Mindy Wagner, Korie and Rayvin Burget; four nephews: Jeremy and Jacob Sullivan, Darth Dodson, and Ian Reed; thirteen great-nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and friends.

            He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia E. Carpenter in 2004 and a brother, A. Brian Sullivan in 2021.

            Andrew was a 1987 graduate of Central High School, Martinsburg and while in school, worked at Dobar-Mobil, Roaring Spring. He was later employed at the Walmart Supercenter, Altoona and for the past 16 years worked as a delivery driver and ice cream maker for Ritchey’s Dairy in Martinsburg.

            He loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed watching movies, reading books, and playing board games, cards, and video games.

            Friends will be received from 11am until 1pm Saturday, September 9, 2023 at Albright Church of the Brethren, Roaring Spring, where a celebration of life service will begin at 1pm, Rev. Dr. David A. Crumrine officiating.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.

            Memorial contributions in memory of Andrew may be given to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
