Adam W. Detwiler

Adam William Detwiler, 39, rural Williamsburg, passed away unexpectedly late Saturday, January 11, 2020 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
He was born in Altoona, son of Glenn W. Detwiler and the late Sondra Jane (Miller) Detwiler. On August 4, 2012 he married Nadezda “Nadia” Alekseevna at Mines United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg.
Surviving are his beloved wife of 7 years; his father, of Martinsburg; two daughters: Emily D. (Zac) Ray of Williamsburg and Olesya S. Lebedeva at home; a son, Brandon A. Detwiler at home; a grandson, Braxton G. Ray; a sister, Lisa K. (Shawn) Reininger of McKee; and two brothers: Bryon K. Detwiler of Altoona and Isaac W. Detwiler of Roaring Spring.
Adam attended Central High School, Martinsburg and was employed for 15 years as a machinist for Norfolk Southern at the Juniata Locomotive Shop, Altoona.
He loved spending time with his family, going on vacations to the beach and fixing and restoring cars, trucks and tractors. He also enjoyed working around the house, boating and fishing with his children, Emily, Olesya and Brandon.
Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8pm, Wednesday, January 15, 2020 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 8pm.
Contributions in memory of Adam can be given to the funeral home to help defray expenses.
