Virginia M. Drobnoek

Virginia M. Drobnoek, 90, of Williamsburg, passed away Tuesday morning, March 26, 2019, at Altoona Center for Nursing Care.
She was born in Patton, daughter of the late Augustine Luke “Guston” and Evelyn Anna (Bortman) McConnell. On August 30, 1949, she married Michael Drobnoek at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg and he preceded her in death on November 25, 1995.
Surviving are her three sons: Michael of Duncansville, Donald of Altoona, and Robert of Hartslog Valley; two daughters: Nancy Marie (John) Demko of Aiken, SC and Carolyn Ann (Terry) Wagner of Beaumont, TX; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grand children; a brother, Robert McConnell; and two sisters: Rose Piersanti, and Mary Louise McCarthy.
She was preceded in death by six brothers; Frances W. “William”, Oscar O., Norman F., Donald D., Thomas P. and James E. McConnell; and two sisters, Leanore McConnell and Theresa May Cybert.
Virginia was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg and Bonner Sollenberger American Legion Post 456 Ladies Auxiliary, Williamsburg.
She was primarily a homemaker, who loved gardening, puzzles, and playing bingo.
A funeral mass will be held at 11am, Saturday, April 6, 2019, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg, Father Clement Gardner and Deacon George Wachter con-celebrants. Inurnment will follow at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Williamsburg. Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.
