Thomas E. Verbonitz

March 10, 1963    March 4, 2019

     Thomas E. Verbonitz, 55, of rural Williamsburg, passed away Monday evening, March 4, 2019 at UPMC Altoona.

     He was born in Tyrone, son of Verna May (Flaig) Verbonitz and the late Joseph M. Verbonitz Jr.

     Surviving are his mother of rural Williamsburg; two sons: Joseph Verbonitz of Duncansville and Thomas Verbonitz of Mount Union; a granddaughter, Elexa; a brother, Robert A. of Ashville; and his faithful companion, Scar.

     He was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald M. Verbonitz, who passed away on January 4, 2016.

     Tom completed the masonry program at the Altoona Vocational School and was a 1981 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  He attended the
Williamsburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church.

     He was employed for many years as a skilled mason, where he worked for various companies including: J.C. Yenter Associates, Tyrone, Leonard S. Fiore Inc., Altoona and Fran Camaroto Excavating, Williamsburg. 

     Tom enjoyed driving a shuttle bus for Blue Knob All Seasons Resort and also loved watching his Pittsburgh Steelers and Pittsburgh Penguins.

     Friends will be received from 11:30am until the 1pm funeral service, Thursday, March 7, 2019 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, Pastor Paul R. Campbell officiating.  Private interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Tom can be given to Williamsburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, C/O 214 E. Third Street, Williamsburg, PA 16693.
