Robert F. “Bob” Stone

     Robert F. “Bob” Stone, 67, rural Williamsburg, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday morning at UPMC Altoona, surrounded by family.

     He was born in rural Williamsburg, son of the late F. Ralph and Patricia A. “Pat” (Colbert) Stone.  On November 6, 1971, he married Rita J. Miller at Fairview Church of the Brethren, Williamsburg.

     Surviving is his beloved wife of 45 years; a daughter, Julie M. Uplinger (Aaron) of Williamsburg; two sons: Scott R. (Jeannette) of Centralia, MO. And Timothy F. (Michelle0 of Williamsburg; nine grandchildren: Adam, Taylor, Luke and Ty Uplinger, Zane, Annamarie and Stetson Stone and Emma and Mariellen Stone; two sisters: Jeanne (Bob) Habinyak of Martinsburg, and Judy A. (Craig) Hamilton of Martinsburg; a brother, Kenneth O. (Jill) Stone of Williamsburg; many nieces and nephews; and his right-hand man, Trenton Kipe.

     He was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia K.; and a brother, William A.

     Bob was a 1967 graduate of Williamsburg High School.  He was a lifelong farmer in the Williamsburg area where he began working on the family farm as a child and was still managing the dairy, poultry, and crop farm at the time of his passing.

     He attended Williamsburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church and spent many years serving on the Williamsburg school board.  Bob loved farming, watching his crops grow, but most of all spending time with his grandkids and family.

     Friends will be received from 2-5pm, Sunday, July 2, 2107 at Williamsburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, where a funeral service will be held at 1pm, Monday, July 3, 2017, Pastor Paul R. Campbell officiating.  Interment will be held at New Canoe Creek Cemetery, Hollidaysburg.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg.

     The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Williamsburg Christian and Missionary Alliance Church building fund, 5270 Piney Creek Rd., Williamsburg, PA  16693.
