Richard Fay Hileman

Richard Fay Hileman, 78, of Martinsburg, passed away unexpectedly, Friday morning, July 20, 2018 at Glacier National Park, Montana.
He was born in Claysburg, son of the late, George E. and Pansy B. (Weyant) Hileman. On September 4, 1965 he married Linda K. Stoudnour in Martinsburg.
Surviving are his beloved wife, Linda of almost 53 years; two daughters: Holly J. Dodson (husband, Jeff) of Roaring Spring and Keri S. Bimeal (husband, Terry) of Duncansville; two granddaughters: Taylor L. Conrath and Regan K. Dodson; twin brothers: Charles E. (wife, Sherry) and Clair E. both of Claysburg; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Nancy Hileman.
Fay was a 1957 graduate of Greenfield-Kimmel High School and a U.S. Army veteran serving from 1959-1961 in the 50th Signal Battalion (Airborne Corps), attaining the rank of Specialist 5th class.
He attended Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church, the Son Seekers Sunday School Class and also made five mission trips to Haiti with fellow church members. Fay retired as a central office technician in 2000 from Sprint (formerly United Telephone) with 37 years of service. Following his retirement he drove truck and also escorted oversize loads for Curry Supply Company.
Fay loved spending time with family, friends and at his family farm in Claysburg. He enjoyed drinking coffee with his B.C.O friends, riding his motorcycle, which he did in every state but Hawaii, and also watching car racing.
At Fay’s request there will be no public viewing, however friends will be received from 11am until the 2pm celebration of life service, Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church with military honors accorded by the Blair County Veteran’s Honor Guard, Pastor James Laird and Pastor Brian McCall officiating. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions in memory of Fay be given to Martinsburg Grace Brethren Church (Haiti Well VBS Mission Project) C/O the church, 300 S. Mulberry St., Martinsburg, PA 16662.
