Paul F. “Junior” Brumbaugh

Paul F. “Junior” Brumbaugh, 89, rural Williamsburg, went home to be with The Lord late Tuesday, January 1, 2019 at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
He was born in rural Williamsburg, son of the late Paul A. and Ruth E. (Allison) Brumbaugh, after the passing of his mother, his father married Pearl Snowberger, who helped raise Paul. On February 11, 1956, he married Shirley J. Clowson at the Williamsburg United Methodist Church. Surviving are his beloved wife of 62 years; three sons: Dennis P. (Carolyn) and Gary A. (Lisa), both of rural Williamsburg, and David C. (Kathe) of Cambridge; two daughters: Carla Frederick (Mark) of Roaring Spring and Elise L. Eastep (David Greer) of rural Williamsburg; 13 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a brother, Mervin G. Brumbaugh of rural Williamsburg.
He was preceded in death by two sisters: Thelma L. Baker and Margaret E. Sollenberger; and a brother, Allison D. Brumbaugh.
Paul was a 1948 graduate of Williamsburg High School and in 1951 purchased a dairy farm in rural Williamsburg, which he owned and operated for many years, providing milk for the Interstate Milk Cooperative, formerly Abbotts’s Dairy.
He was an active longtime member of Fairview Church of the Brethren, rural Williamsburg where he taught Sunday school. Paul served on the Williamsburg School Board for many years and was a member of the local chapter of Young Farmers Association and Pennsylvania Farmers Association.
Paul loved spending time with family and friends, especially his grand and great-grandchildren. He also enjoyed traveling, auctions and in his younger days, square dancing and roller skating.
Friends will be received from 10 until the noon funeral service, Saturday, January 5, 2019, at Fairview Church of the Brethren, Pastors Thomas P. Hanks and Eric J. Fether officiating. Private interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.
The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Fairview Church of the Brethren Memorial Fund, 1022 Fairview Rd., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
