Patricia C. Yeager-Hinish

Patricia C. Yeager-Hinish, 85, resident of Homewood at Martinsburg, formerly of Williamsburg passed away early Wednesday morning at the home following a lengthy illness.
She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late George W. and Helen I. (Mogle) Lear. On April 11, 1954 she married William M. Yeager in Williamsburg and he preceded her in death on August 25, 1981.
Surviving are a daughter, Cassandra “Gay” Gorsuch (husband, Bill); a daughter-in-law, Kathy Yeager; and a son-in-law, Buddy Hetrick all of Williamsburg; five grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert N. Lear (wife, Jan) of Armagh; a sister-in-law, Audrey Lear of Covington, VA; also surviving are her second husband, Joseph A. Hinish of Martinsburg; three step-sons: Joseph Jr., Jay and Jeff Hinish; four step-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Pat was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana L. Hetrick; a son, Clayton G.; infant grandson, William E. Yeager; two brothers: Roy and Charles “Bud”; and two step-grandsons, Zack and Conner Hinish.
She was a 1951 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a longtime member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg.
In 1969 Pat and her husband, Bill opened Yeager’s Carpet in Williamsburg, which they owned and operated for many years. After his passing, she and her son, Clay ran the carpet store together for 33 years until his retirement in March 2014.
Pat was a member of the Williamsburg Women’s Civic Club, Williamsburg Bicentennial Organization and a former member of Iron Master’s Country Club, Roaring Spring. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and also enjoyed knitting, cooking, golfing and wintering in Florida.
Friends will be received from 1 until 2pm, funeral service, Saturday, April 21, 2018 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, Reverend Jerry McCuller Jr. officiating. Interment will be held at Alexandria Presbyterian Cemetery.
