Michael K. Suter Sr.

November 30, 1944       October 4, 2017
 

Michael K. Suter Sr., 72, passed away Wednesday October 4, 2017 at St. Mary Medical Center. He was born in Atloona, son of Samuel Lloyd and Esther Elvira (Matson) Suter. He attended Williamsburg High School and continued his education in vocational programs for automobile mechanics.

Michael proudly served his country in the US Army as Specialist 4th Class during the Vietnam War and was assigned to Company C 2nd Battalion 6th Infantry in the Berlin Command. He was the head mechanic in the Berlin Brigade responsible for the army's fleet of tanks and jeeps. He was also part of the guard duty for the Spandau Prison in Germany. Michael was employed by Exelon (PECO) for 25 years and retired in 1995.

Michael was an avid car enthusiast rebuilding several classic automobiles over the years and restoring them to show quality. He had served as Technical Advisor to the Crown Victoria Association advising members with technical and mechanical questions for Ford automobiles manufactured in the 1950's; he was an active member of the association for over 40 years.Michael's interests also included aviation and he was an active member of the Experimental Aircraft Association.

Michael is survived by his loving wife Sharon Ann Suter; his children Michele L. Gresh (Christopher), Victoria Cagliola (David) and Michael K. Suter (Dionne); his siblings Donald Patrick Suter (Grace) and Sandy Detwiler (Terry) and his grandchildren Jessica Gesualdi and Justine Gesualdi. He is also survived by his nephews, grandnieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Family and friends will be received from 10:00 until the 11:00 am funeral service, Friday, October 13, 2017, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating. Interment will follow at Yellow Springs Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg. In lieu of flowers contributions in Michael's memory may be made to the American Lung Association., 527 Plymouth Rd # 403, Plymouth Meeting, PA 19462
