Mary Jane Isenberg

July 21, 1953      July 1, 2017

     Mary Jane Isenberg, 63, Martinsburg passed away Saturday afternoon at UPMC Altoona, after a courageous battle with cancer.

     She was born in Roaring Spring, daughter of the late Glenn S. and Erma L. (Ritchey) Aldstadt.  On August 4, 1979 she married George E. Isenberg at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg.  He preceded her in death on July 14, 2016.

     Surviving are 2 sons: Nick R. (Erin) of Duncansville and Josh A. (Cindy Fox) of Martinsburg; a daughter, Jena K. of Martinsburg; 2 grandchildren: Brynlee and Drew Isenberg; a brother, Ronald Aldstadt of Grove City; and a sister, Aleta Claycomb of Claysburg.

     Mary Jane was a 1971 graduate of Claysburg-Kimmel High School and was a member of Memorial Church of the Brethren.

     She was employed as a receptionist at Homewood at Martinsburg with 20 years of service. 

     Mary Jane loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed all the people and friends she made while working at Homewood, watching Pittsburgh Pirates baseball and attending all the sporting events her children played throughout the years.

     Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Wednesday, July 5, 2017 at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, where a funeral will be held at 11am, Thursday, July 6, 2017 at the church, Pastor Eric J. Fether officiating.  Interment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg.  Arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.

     The family prefers memorial contributions be given to Memorial Church of the Brethren, 210 N. Wall St., Martinsburg, PA 16662 or American Cancer Society, Blair Unit, 1004 N. Juniata St., Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
