Mary Ann Gardner

Mary Ann Gardner, 67, of Williamsburg passed away Monday morning, October 8, 2018 at UPMC Altoona following an extended illness.
She was born in Altoona, daughter of the late William E. and Shirley J. (Meiss) Cornelius. On September 29, 1990 she married Robert S. Gardner in Williamsburg.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 28 years; and two sisters: Debbie Cornelius of Bellefonte and Jane McCloskey of Tyrone.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline E. Grove; and a brother, Robert Cornelius.
Mary Ann received her GED from Altoona Area High School and attended Cove Forge United Methodist Church, rural Williamsburg.
She retired in 2013 as an envelope packer from Cenveo (formerly Westvaco), Williamsburg with over 25 years of service. Mary Ann was a member of the Bonnner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456 Ladies Auxiliary, Williamsburg. She enjoyed fishing, crocheting and watching NASCAR, (her favorite was Jeff Gordon).
Friends will be received from 5-8pm, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will be held at 11am, Thursday, October 11, 2018, Bishop Rob Patterson and Pastor Heather Wurst officiating. Interment will be held at New Canoe Creek Cemetery, rural Hollidaysburg.
The family prefers memorial contributions in memory of Mary Ann be given to Mending Hearts Animal Rescue, P.O Box 97, Hollidaysburg, PA 16648.
