Martha “Marty” (Mullins) LaPenna-Casselberry

Martha LaPenna-Casselberry, 78, rural Williamsburg, formerly of Hollidaysburg, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday morning, October 2, 2019 at her home, following an extended illness.
She was born in Stone, KY, daughter of the late Floyd and Jane (Adams) Mullins. She was twice married, first to Michael A. LaPenna, who passed away August 12, 1986 and then to Theodore P. “Pete” Casselberry.
Surviving are her beloved husband of 12 years, Pete Casselberry; two sons: Michael E. (Michelle) LaPenna and Anthony D. (Nancy) LaPenna both of Duncansville; two daughters: Christine M. (James) Casselberry of Williamsburg and Jennifer J. (Perry) Olivieri of Hollidaysburg; two step-daughters: Debbie Holland of Glasgow and Bonnie Miller of Fallen Timber; two step-sons: Michael Casselberry of Omaha, NE and Casey Casselberry of Pleasantville, TX; 17 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Eileen Dooley of Elizabethtown, Violet Merritts of Williamsburg and Jackie Klotz of Duncansville; and a brother, Harry Mullins of Williamsburg.
She was preceded in death by a son, Joseph J. LaPenna; a great-granddaughter, Natalia Marie LaPenna; a sister, Darlene M. Keagy; and two brothers: infant Don and Edward.
Marty was a 1959 graduate of Williamsburg High School and retired from Butterick Co., Altoona with 27 years of service.
She was a member and past president of the American Legion Auxiliary Fort Fetter Unit 516, Hollidaysburg. Marty loved spending time with her family, feeding and taking care of the wildlife near their home and also enjoyed cooking, and fishing.
Friends will be received from 11am-2pm, Saturday, October 5, 2019 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral service will follow at 2pm, Mr. David Cadle officiating. Private interment will be held at Yellow Springs Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
