Marjorie Mae Smith

August 29, 1923      February 23, 2018

     Marjorie Mae Smith, 94, rural Williamsburg, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, early Friday morning at Homewood at Martinsburg.

     She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Roy M. and Annie (Parks) Kensinger.  On February 8, 1943 she married Paul I. Smith in Philadelphia and he preceded her in death on July 22, 1996.

     Surviving are a son, Paul L. Smith; and a daughter, Rosanne R. (Frank) Spagnola both of rural Williamsburg; four grandchildren: Jed Smith, Shaley Davis, Heather Smith and Shannon Lambert all in Utah; 12 great-grandchildren; a sister, Della Grace Jacoby of Brewster, OH; a sister-in-law, Esther Baker of Waterside; and several nieces and nephews.

     She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Lockevich and an infant brother, Robert Kensinger.

    Marjorie was a 1941 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg where she served as secretary/treasurer for the former Win-A-Chum Sunday school class.  She also was a member of the Bonner-Sollenberger American Legion Post 456 Ladies Auxiliary, Williamsburg.

     She was primarily a homemaker who was a great mother and a good cook.  Marjorie also enjoyed painting ceramics, reading, knitting, was an excellent seamstress and loved flowers.

     Friends will be received from 5-7pm, Monday, February 26, 2018 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg and from 10am until the 11am funeral service, Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at Zion Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, Pastor Tiffany E. Marvich officiating.  Private interment will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

     The family prefers memorial contributions be given to the Williamsburg Ambulance Club, P.O. 94, Williamsburg, PA 16693 or Zion Lutheran Church, 217 Plum St., Williamsburg, PA 16693.
