Janell E. Criswell

Janell E. Criswell, 89, resident of The Presbyterian Village at Hollidaysburg, formerly of Williamsburg, passed away late Friday, January 4, 2019 at the village.
She was born in rural Hollidaysburg, daughter of the late Leroy and Wilda K. (Hoover) Chamberlain. On May 5, 1949 she married Robert C. Criswell in rural Martinsburg and he preceded her in death on February 9, 2006.
Surviving are a daughter, Anita L. Damiter of Saylorsburg; four grandchildren: Dawn, Brian, Drew and Leighanne; five great-grandchildren: Ashton, Trevor, Drake, Olivia and Maia; two brothers: Merle E. of Hollidaysburg and Don D. of Altoona; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Matthew Seiwell; and two brothers: Sylvester A. and Palmer L.
Janell was a 1947 graduate of Williamsburg High School and formerly served on the Chester County Election Board.
She was primarily a homemaker, who loved spending time with her family and also enjoyed reading, gardening, sewing, crocheting and walking on The Lower Trail.
Friends will be received from 10:30am until the noon funeral service, Monday, January 7, 2019 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, Pastor Betty J. Royer officiating. Private interment will be held at Royer Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
