G. Kay Clabaugh

G. Kay Clabaugh, 83, resident of The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg formerly of Williamsburg, passed away Thursday afternoon, November 28, 2019 at the home, following an extended illness.
She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late Garfield Hall and Geneva May (Treese) Showalter. On April 18, 2002 she married Kenneth L. Clabaugh in Alexandria.
Surviving are her beloved husband, Ken of 17 years; a sister, Delores R. Weyant of East Freedom; a brother, Brian K. Showalter of Williamsburg; and brothers and sisters-in-law, who loved Kay.
She was preceded in death by five sisters: Janet L. Suter, D. Arlene Leamer, Beverly Fay Frye-Snyder, Sandra L. Hunter and Donna J. Showalter; and two brothers: G. Curtis and L. Kent Showalter.
Kay was a 1954 graduate of Williamsburg High School and a longtime member of Williamsburg United Methodist Church.
She retired as a clerk from Rite Aid, Huntingdon and also worked as a secretary for Westvaco in Williamsburg and Covington, MD.
Kay loved bird watching, shopping, cooking and doing puzzles. She was also a very talented singer, who sang with the Sweet Adelines, while living in Maryland.
Friends will be received from 11:30am-1pm, Monday, December 2, 2019 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a funeral will follow at 1pm, Pastor Paul R. Campbell officiating. Private interment will be held at Oreminea Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
