     Deborah Jo (Devlin) Zook, 70, passed away at her residence at The Village at Morrisons Cove in Martinsburg on Monday, November 19, 2018.

     She was born in Bellefonte, the daughter of the late James Joseph and Phyllis Ann (Heeman) Devlin. She married Calvin Lee Zook on October 10, 1981 at the Williamsburg Church of the Brethren.

     Surviving are her husband; son, Scott and wife, Wendy of New Market, MD, and two grandchildren: Zachary and Addison.

     Also surviving are two sisters: Mary Lynch (Joseph) of New York, NY and Beth Devlin-Keune (Dawn) of Cape Coral, FL; two nieces: Megan Porcaro (Peter) of Natick, MA and Patty Devlin of New York, NY; one nephew, J.P. Devlin (Samantha) of Santa Monica, CA; and two great-nephews: Collin and Luke Porcaro. She was preceded in death by a brother, James Patrick Devlin.

     Debbie graduated from Bellefonte High School in 1966. She worked at The Pennsylvania State University for over 15 years. After her marriage, she worked at Appleton Papers, Morrisons Cove Home, Roaring Spring Department Store and Memorial Church of the Brethren. She retired in 2010 to babysit her grandchildren.

     Debbie was a member of Memorial Church of the Brethren. She was a past board member and deacon.

     She was a huge sports fan and enjoyed watching them on TV with Calvin. Debbie and her sister, Mary, were writers and have published 18 novels. Her greatest joy was spending time with Scott, Wendy, Zack and Addie.

     Friends will be received from 5 until the 6pm celebration and remembrance service, Monday, December 10, 2018 at Memorial Church of the Brethren, Martinsburg, Chaplain Linda Banaszak and Pastor Chris Garretson officiating.  Private inurnment will be held at Fairview Cemetery, Martinsburg. 

     Memorial contributions may be given to the National Down Syndrome Society through the website: www.classy.org/fundraise?fcid=533506 or through the mail at: 8 E. 41st Street, 8th Floor, New York, New York 10071 in honor of Zachary Zook.  Debbie was very passionate about supporting this organization.
