Ceibert W. Parks

Ceibert W. Parks, 89, Williamsburg, passed away peacefully Tuesday evening, November 19, 2019, at The Village at Morrisons Cove, Martinsburg.
He was born in Williamsburg, son of the late Nelson C. and Amy B. (Roush) Parks and was the great-grandson of the Civil War Congressional Medal of Honor recipient, Levi Roush.
Surviving are his longtime companion and friend, Norma Stenger of Altoona; her children: Michael and Melissa Stenger; and her grandson, Gavin Stenger; a niece, Diana Hoffner of Williamsburg; a nephew, Terry (wife, Tammy) Parks of Erie; two great-nephews: Anthony Parks and Hayden Chappel; and a great-niece, Taylor Parks.
Ceibert was preceded in death by two brothers: Terry and Ronald Parks; four sisters: Darlene Parks, Gloria Parks, Felice Hoffner, and Wanda Smith; and two nieces: Rhonda Parks and Pam Smith.
He was a 1948 graduate of Williamsburg High School and also received a chemical engineering degree from the Pennsylvania State University. Ceibert was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. In 1990, he retired as a chemist from Conrail, Juniata Shop, Altoona, with 25 years of service.
Ceibert was a member of the Bonner Sollenberger American Legion Post 456, Williamsburg, and a longtime member of the Portage Lodge 220 F&AM, Hollidaysburg. He loved the Christmas season, his pet dogs and also enjoyed model trains and taking care of his cars.
Friends will be received from 3 to 6 pm, Friday, November 22, 2019, at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, and from 10 until the 11 am funeral service, Saturday, November 23, 2019 at the funeral home, Pastor Allen J. Baker Jr. officiating. Interment with full military honors will follow at Yellow Springs Lutheran Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.
