How I remember Boyd: I remember him as being a quiet handsome man's-man, a good husband, & family man. I moved away years ago but would be notified of family happenings . His sister, Linda, would tell me about the events in his life, children, news paper clippings of his accomplishments in the service. daughter becoming a nurse, grandchildren & even great grandchildren.
As time went on Linda & I would go visiting at his little house in the woods. I would often notice cars he had in the drive way, either working on for himself or family members. We would always be greeted with coffee even thought we would often come unannounced.
Living in the woods there was always feral cats & kittens & they would do their best to care & feed them. He was a kind man.
I am proud to have known him, that he was my cousin & friend. A donation will be sent to the humane society in Altoona in his honor.
