     Betty V. Fay, 94, of Williamsburg passed away Sunday morning, January 13, 2019 at her residence.

     She was born in Williamsburg, daughter of the late, John R. and Elsie May (Kooken) Hoffner.  On May 28, 1948, she married Joseph A. Fay in Williamsburg and he preceded her in death on October 20, 1990.

     Surviving are six children: Michael L. (Elva), Dennis A. (Debbie), Patricia A., Penny L. (Tom) Weyant, David N. (Debbie) all of Williamsburg and Barbara J. (Mike) Lendacki of Bedford; 18 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

     Betty was preceded in death by a grandson, Joshua N. Fay; five brothers: J. Robert “Bus”, Clarence “Scotty”, Thomas J., Richard P. and Lynn E. Hoffner; and two sisters: Thelma R. Hoffner and Dorothy M. Hoffner. 

     She was a 1942 graduate of Williamsburg High School and 1946 graduate of the Altoona School of Commerce.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg and Margie’s Card Club.

     Betty was primarily a homemaker who enjoyed spending time with her family and playing cards. 

     Friends will be received from 6-8pm, Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Williamsburg, where a vigil for the deceased will be recited.  A funeral mass will be held at 11am, Thursday, January 17, 2019 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Williamsburg, Father Dennis M. Kurdziel celebrant.  Interment will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Williamsburg.

     Memorial contributions in memory of Betty can be given to Home Nursing Agency Family Hospice, 20 Sheraton Dr., Altoona, PA 16601.
