Arletta Mae (Gabrielson) Bowers

Arletta M. Bowers, 89, Martinsburg, passed away Thursday evening, October 31, 2019, at Conemaugh Nason Medical Center, Roaring Spring.
She was the daughter of the late Oscar and Mabel (Miles) Gabrielson. She was married for 47 years to the late Richard G. “Dick” Bowers.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Rydbom) Klotz of Alexandria; five grandchildren: Christine (Klotz) Roland (husband, Dave) of Alexandria, Lorie (Bowers) Kramer (husband, Tim) of Carlisle, Stacy Rydbom of Summerville, SC, Tricia (Klotz) Gahagan of Charlotte, NC, and Kelly (Rydbom) Ford (husband, Pete) of Osterburg; six great-grandchildren: Tyler Roland, Kristina Rydbom, Zachary Kramer, Noah Roland, Karsyn Ford, and Dominic Rydbom; two sisters: Mildred “Mid” Wheeler of Coalport and Carol Krepps (husband, Ron) of Acme; a brother-in-law, Jim Bowers of Roaring Spring; a daughter-in-law, Deanna Rydbom of Summerville, SC; and many nieces, nephews, neighbors and friends who loved and supported her.
Arletta was preceded in death by two sons: David Richard Bowers and Jerrold “Jerry” Rydbom; a son-in-law, George Klotz; and four brothers: Jack, Bob, Dick, and Harry “Gab” Gabrielson; and a sister, Jean Taylor.
She was a member of Trough Creek Valley Community Church before moving to the Cove, where she changed her membership to the Roaring Spring Mennonite Church.
Arletta dearly loved her family and church, and also enjoyed spending time gardening and canning.
A celebration of life service will be announced at a later date and arrangements are by John K. Bolger Funeral Home Inc., Martinsburg.
