Wayne E. “Skip” Goshorn

Wayne E. “Skip” Goshorn, 62 of rural Hollidaysburg, passed away Monday morning at his home following a lengthy illness.
He was born in Altoona, son of the late Wayne E. and Janet L. (Taylor) Goshorn. On May 25, 1974 he married Gayle D. Rhodes in Altoona.
Surviving is his wife, Gayle of almost 44 years; a son, Kenny R. Goshorn (Amy Kenawell) of rural Hollidaysburg; two granddaughters: Lilliana N. and Madison R. Goshorn; a brother, Terry L. Goshorn of O’brien, FL and “third son”, Ben Butler of Hollidaysburg.
Skip was preceded in death by a son, Wayne A. Goshorn, who passed away on September 15, 2007.
He was a 1974 graduate of Hollidaysburg High School and was a member of the Hollidaysburg Sportsmen’s Association and a former member of the Allegheny Club, Hollidaysburg.
Skip retired as a supervisor from McLanahan Corporation, Hollidaysburg with over 40 years of service. He loved spending time with his family, especially his granddaughters and also enjoyed hunting, trapping, fishing and riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
At Skip’s request there will be no public services and memorial contributions in his memory can be given to your favorite local charity.
